Books Defy Borders is a non-profit organization founded by a high school student in Great Neck, NY. We believe in the power of education and imagination to transform young lives. Our mission is to promote literacy and creativity among underprivileged youth in Iran by collecting children’s books from our community and beyond, and shipping them to schools, libraries, and community centers across Tehran and Mashad, Iran. We believe that every child, regardless of their socioeconomic background, should have access to the tools and resources necessary to cultivate their creative thinking skills and reach their full potential.
